El proyecto está dirigido a familiarizar a los estudiantes con la tecnología de las TIC, además del fomento del respeto cultural y una conciencia multicultural. Los estudiantes dotarán de contenidos la página web creada por la asociación escolar con mapas de sus países, pueblos o aldeas y proporcionarán información sobre su historia, la cultura y la escuela. Los alumnos tendrán la oportunidad de comunicarse a través de e-mail y Messenger, para el intercambio de información sobre temas de su interés (por ejemplo, su vida cotidiana, su vida escolar y amigos y familia). El siguiente paso será crear un boletín con objetos compuestos en colaboración por los grupos internacionales de niños, un video de eventos especiales y juegos basados en las leyendas y mitos de cada país. A través de todo lo anterior, la comunicación y el contacto con culturas diferentes se refuerza y los estudiantes para que se familiaricen con una nueva forma de aprendizaje que, además de ser fascinante, se basa también en sus intereses y la vida cotidiana. Adicionalmente, practicarán y mejorarán sus competencias lingüísticas y habilidades comunicativas en una lengua extranjera, que en a largo plazo, promueve la comprensión intercultural. |

| The project is aimed at familiarizing the students with ICT technology while encouraging cultural respect and raising multicultural awareness. The students are expected to enrich the webpage created by the School Partnership with maps of their countries, towns or villages and provide information on their history, culture and school. The pupils will have the chance to communicate through e-mail and messenger in order to exchange information on topics of their interest (e.g their daily life, their school life and friends and family). The next step will be to create a newsletter with articles composed collaboratively by international groups of children, a video of special events and games based on the legends and myths of every country. Through all of the above, the communication and contact with different cultures is reinforced and the students become acquainted with a new way of learning which, apart from being fascinating, is also based on their interests and everyday life. Additionally, they practise and improve their linguistic skills and communicative abilities in a foreign language, which in the long-term promotes intercultural understanding. |
